The 17-year-old star has been in the spotlight since childhood thanks to her family's reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.

Her megastar sister Kim Kardashian also ensures the whole family are often talked about, and now Kylie is nearing adulthood she's carving out her own career.

As well work commitments, Kylie has got people talking with her love life choices. She's currently dating rapper Tyga, who is eight years older than her and also a father to son King Cairo with his ex Blac Chyna.

"It kills her dad Bruce to watch Kylie date older guys and make such bad choices," a source told British magazine Now.

Another alleged bone of contention for the family is Kourtney Kardashian's partner Scott Disick exposing the teenager to a more adult lifestyle.

In October 2013 when Kylie was only 16 Scott took her and sisters Kendall and Khloé to Vignette Lounge, a voyeuristic club in Hollywood.

"Scott's problems with alcohol and prescription drugs are well documented. He's been in and out of rehab and has no boundaries. The fact he thought it was OK to take a 16-year-old girl to a sex club is troubling," a source said.

"She's so famous she thinks she's above the law. She can't get away with a fake ID because people recognize her. She wants to be treated like an adult," another source added of Kylie's wish to be treated older.

Kylie is also thought to have started an intense detox diet plan, taking inspiration from Kendall who works as a catwalk model.

Kendall has wowed at recent Fashion Week shows, walking for Fendi in Milan, Marc Jacobs in New York and Giles in London, among others.

"Kylie's started her own 'teatox diet'. She feels huge beside size 0 Kendall and under pressure to slim down," the insider said. — Cover Media

DAP lauds DPM for ‘sensible’ remark on 1MDB

In a statement, the federal opposition party's national publicity secretary Tony Pua praised the deputy prime minister's statement last Friday, calling it "the most sensible and responsible ever issued by any Cabinet Minister on the controversial issue".

"The DAP would like to express our full support to the statement issued by the [sic] Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin on 1MDB, particularly on the fact that there should be no bailout of 1MDB with Government funds, especially before the Auditor-General is able to complete its forensic audit of 1MDB's accounts from 2009," Pua said.

The Petaling Jaya Utara MP thanked Muhyiddin for righting the views of what has transpired at the most recent Cabinet discussion on the state investment company with his statement that 1MDB's board of directors must explain its questionable business dealings that did not appear would profit the company or the government in the long run.

"This the first time any Government Minister has ever conceded that there were transactions by 1MDB which did not result in any long term returns to the taxpayers," he said.

1MDB came under criticism after a British paper, The Sunday Times in collaboration with whistleblower site Sarawak Report, ran an exposé on March 1 claiming impropriety in the state-owned company's venture with oil exploration and production firm PetroSaudi International.

Petrosaudi has since denied the allegations.

Milan’s troubles continue, Eto’o breaks Sampdoria duck

Former Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o opened his Sampdoria account with a stunning strike in a 2-0 home win over Cagliari which pushed Gianfranco Zola's side a step closer to Serie B.

Milan have won two out of 10 games since Christmas, leading to speculation that coach Filippo Inzaghi, who surprisingly dropped forward Mattia Destro, could be fired before completing a season in the job.

Luca Toni, 37, put Verona ahead in the 18th minute, coolly converting a Panenka-style penalty for his 11th goal this season after Artur Ionita was clumsily tripped by Sulley Muntari.

Jeremy Menez equalised for Milan with another penalty, his 13th goal of the campaign, four minutes before halftime after a trip on Philippe Mexes, although the Frenchman appeared to fall over the ball rather than a defender's leg.

Milan went ahead soon after the restart when Mexes pounced on a loose ball and his effort from a narrow angle was turned into his own goal by Panagiotis Tachtsidis.

But the hosts sat back and suffered two huge let offs as Tachtsidis rattled a shot against the underside of the bar and Sulley Muntari's dreadful back-pass set up a Verona chance they failed to take.

But there was no escape when Juanito Gomez headed the ball into the path of Nico Lopez and the "rabbit" steered his shot wide of Diego Lopez, leaving Milan joint ninth with 35 points.

Eto'o scores

Sampdoria's Eto'o broke his duck when he collected a pass on his chest, turned, let the ball bounce and then rifled an unstoppable shot into the net from a difficult angle for his first goal since his move from Everton in January.

His 72nd minute goal put the game out of Cagliari's reach after Lorenzo De Silvestri opened the scoring for Sinisa Mihajlovic's team by heading home from a corner in the 33rd.

Cagliari have taken one point from their last six games and an unhappy evening was completed when Danilo Avelar was sent off for a second yellow card.

The future of former West Ham United coach Zola, who took over in December, is being questioned at a club who are in the lsat relegation position in 18th place with 20 points from 26 games, three adrift of the safety zone.

Sampdoria are joint fifth with Fiorentina on 42 and points chasing a Champions League qualifying spot. — Reuters

Fire crews and an ambulance team were also at the Palace of Westminster in central London, though there was no indication of who the man is or why he is on the building roof.

A Scotland Yard spokeswoman said officers were on the scene to deal with the incident.

"At 9:15pm officers were made aware of a man trespassing on the roof at the Palace of Westminster. London Fire Brigade and London Ambulance Service are in attendance," she said.

The roof has been the scene of stunts by campaigners in the past, including by protesters demonstrating against plans for a third runway at London Heathrow Airport in 2008, and by Greenpeace a year later.

The BBC said the man was on his own, moving around a lot and seemed calm, with his hands in his pockets, staring down at the swelling crowd of onlookers on the ground.

Probe on Harrison Ford’s plane crash may take a year

Actor Harrison Ford was believed to be in the plane and seriously injured. — Reuters pic LOS ANGELES, March 8 — An investigation into what caused Hollywood star Harrison Ford to crash the single-engine plane he was piloting will take about a year to complete, US aviation officials said yesterday.

Ford, 72, was injured Thursday when his vintage aircraft suffered apparent engine failure and crash-landed on a golf course outside Los Angeles.

Patrick Jones, an official with the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), told reporters in Venice, California that investigators were inspecting the wreckage as well as reviewing documents pertaining to the upkeep of the plane.

"The aircraft will be examined, the engine will be examined, the records of the aircraft will be examined and ultimately we'll submit a factual report," Jones said.

"All of that process is going to take probably a couple of weeks to a month or so," the NTSB official said.

"The final report probably will not be out for a year."

Experts said the aircraft he was flying was a World War II era two-seater plane that was more than 70 years old.

Jones said that the plane being as old as it is in many ways makes the investigation more straightforward.

"This aircraft is a fairly simple aircraft," he said.

"A lot of it is old-school mechanical. We'll see what it is, we'll look at everything."

Ford, an aviation enthusiast with years of flying under his belt, flew out of Santa Monica Airport in the Ryan PT-22 Recruit when he experienced engine trouble just minutes into the flight. He was trying to return to the airport when he crashed.

Authorities said they have not yet had the opportunity to interview Ford, but plan to do so over the course of their probe.

The actor suffered multiple gashes to his head and was left bleeding after the crash.

A family spokesman said Ford's injuries were not life-threatening. His son Ben, in a tweet late Thursday, said his father was "battered, but OK".

One of the biggest names in Hollywood, the actor rose to fame as smuggler Han Solo in the blockbuster Star Wars movies.

He also played the lead in the popular "Indiana Jones" movies, as well as in a string of Hollywood hits—and misses—from the acclaimed "Witness" and "The Fugitive" to the panned "Random Hearts". — AFP

Bittersweet end to Moomba Masters for water-ski wonder Aaliyah

On a second outing in a row on the treacherous Yarra River, Aaliyah took a spill in the first run of the Open women's tricks event, the hand pass, and failed to achieve her goal.

Eleven-year-old Aaliyah's aim had been to qualify for the semi-finals of an event against some competitors more than three times her age to which she felt privileged to have been invited to take part in for a second year in a row.

It was not to be. The result was almost identical to Aaliyah's runs on Thursday, in the final of the girls under-17 event in which Aaliyah finished runner-up overall.

But the girls under-17 provided the icing to Aaliyah's day — the silverware at the prize presentation of an event Aaliyah has enjoyed coming to first as an eight-year-old.

Her overall runner-up prize was as a result of the highlight of her campaign on day one on Wednesday, when Aaliyah top-scored the under-17 girls with 6,060 points, the highest she has scored on the Yarra since her 5,920 points personal best (PB) in the same event last year.

Aaliyah's PB in tricks is 6,130 points, scored at the Asian Beach Games in Phuket last November.

In the open event yesterday, Aaliyah finished tied ninth of 11 women, scoring 4,560 points, 30 points short of making the cut for the semi-finals.

Her under-17 PB would have placed her sixth of the eight-women semi-finals.

"We have some work to do for her hand run when we return (to Malaysia) as she needs to stand up till the end of the run so that she can score high with the two flip tricks (that) she has," said Aaliyah's coach, her father Hanifah Yoong.

"She has to now be tricking faster than ever before so she needs to get back to stronger basics to avoid such falls. We have a week to work on that before the next event, the Indonesian Open, to be held (in Bandung) on March 20-22."
